Those were the two good games... Then there were things like Pac-Pix, Pokmon Rush etc. Also the original DS was really ugly, especially compared to the PSP :) In the end though, DS Lite came out as the winner.
One thing I really liked about the DS was that it came with a Metroid Prime Hunters demo, so there was at least something to play with immediately. Same thing with the AR cards included with the 3DS.
I'm really looking forward to future 3DS games, but then I always remember how the thing is region locked :( I have lots of Japanese and American games, for example Ouendan 1 & 2, Taiko no Tatsujin, Phoenix Wright etc. Many of these games didn't come out in Europe at all or came around a year late.

One thing that is important to investors is the ranking of units shipped (in comparison to other companies.) Apple is currently 4th behind Gateway -- but VERY close!! Q4 2006 should bring Apple to the 3rd place for US shipments in America, behind Dell and HP. That will turn a lot of heads. Q3 Shipments (http://www.macdailynews.com/index.php/weblog/comments/gartner_apple_mac_grabbed_61_of_us_market_share_in_q3_06/)

Nah, if they need to go past 10.7.9, they can go for 10.7.10, 10.7.11 .. 10.7.93 or whatever.
The numbering scheme just looks like it's base 10. It ain't.
You know, I often see this posted on the forums, yet I can't think of any example in the past that proves it. Every version after a .9 that I know of has been the last of that series.

I bet it will be a 15" MacBook
I'm guessing that we're talking about more than just an it.
And why update the laptop that is newer???
It's more likely that they switched all of their MacBook/Pro development over to Foxconn, most likely because of all the issues around the most recent line of MBPs.

Grrrrr, I can't decide. Looks like I'll probably get the 32GB.. 399 + $45 taxes. Anyone think $444 worth it for the older 32 or do better deals exist? I'm somewhat convinced since it is new.
I'm debating this as well. I think I'm just going to end up buying the Ipad 2 16gb for $100 more. I don't need 32gb.

I am very happy with my 13.3" MBA with 2 USB ports. But I have to admit, I am envious of the potential experience with the lightning fast Thunderbolt I/O in the latest MBP.
I started without Backlit Keyboard, and I am cool with that (although not as much elegant-looking, it saves unnecessary battery power).
And yes, I'd like to see a microfibre cloth included in the box! It's just too cheap yet important for any MBA users!

well, speaking figuratively here, there is a free iPod. If I were to give you one as a gift, then it would be free, no? :p
D
it wouldn't be exactly 'free' for you, would it? Or is there a truck somewhere that's missing an iPod? :D
and on that line of thinking, if you feel like buying one and sending it to me, knock yourself out. :)

Booo! He worked for Microsoft, that means he knows nothing and that all of Microsofts "problems" will now surface on Apple devices. Unclean! UNCLEAN!!
From what I understand, there are smart and creative people at MS but the company is bloated and unorganized so it is unable to really utilize its people effectively.

Why do you guys assume Nvidia cannot make graphic cards for Sandy Bridge? Have you seen Dell's Alienware laptop line? They have the new processors and also are using Nvidia graphics card.
NVidia can make graphics cards but they cannot make chipsets. The 320M is the chipset as well. There are only two chips in the logic board, the CPU and 320M. With a discrete GPU, there would have to be three chips; CPU, PCH and GPU. Since space is very limited in MBA, there is simple no space for all three chips.

Well, I can get 22% off a Verizon plan, that sort of thing might matter. Although, I don't want a 3G iPad, so....no matter to me.
* Also, crap DNS speed really throws many people for surfing, anyway. The internet's dirty little secret. I wonder how many millions don't realize they could be faster by typing a couple digits into setup.
Jat.... didn't know this. Made the change and not sure about speed, but it fixed another issue I had where one of my business partner web sites was getting blocked. Thanks for the tip!

Try making a new mail in Firefox 2. You will see a pop up window with a tool bar at the top but otherwise blank.
I had the same issue. Do you have Adblock or Adblock Plus running with Firefox? I just disabled Adblock Plus for mac.com and now it works fine.

Maybe you have really abnormally large fingers! :D
A full-hand pinch isn't that hard to do on an iPhone/iPod Touch
Try it. The positioning isn't comfortable for anyone.
I'd argue that you'd see Apple lose a large number of users if they went that route.

What I find to damn stupid is that all competitors except Apple use Android or Honeycomb. WTF!
They are comparing ipad to other tablets essentially running the same effing OS.

Just as I did in that one, I think it's incredibly sad. The irony in what the RATM croud are trying to achieve is particularly amusing. Why is it "sad"?

Have you ever gone to move your finger across the trackpad and find that it registered it as a tap instead? Drives me nuts.
That has never happened to me, or anyone, that is intentionally using Tap to Click.
That does happen to people who live with buttons, who aren't expecting it, and for some reason tend to mash their trackpad with giant gorilla hands.
People I know that use click instead of tap have broken the trackpads on white macbooks after a few years of use.

What you're describing isn't racism, so there's no issue. It's impossible for those who have been oppressed by the majority to be racist - they don't have the power.
At least, that's what I was taught by my fancy college education.
Seriously? This is seriously what college is teaching? Holy cow am I glad I bailed when I did...
So what about a group of hispanic men that jump a korean man simply for being korean? Both groups are minorities.
What about a poor white woman living in Inner City DC having "cracker ho" or something like that yelled at her by a group of black women?
?????????
